frame swap

i have to get a new frame to my '97 fireblade, just thinking what yearmodels are usable. 92-99 looks same, but are those? how about 00-01 or 02-03?

Re: frame swap

'93-'97 should be same.
'98-'99 are slightly different(different part# per Ron Ayers)
2000 and up- no way, completely different frame

Re: frame swap

what year did they get rid of that tuned flex junk? I wanna say 96 but I'm not sure. There were the ones with tuned flex and the ones without it (or less of it, I'm not sure). I don't know the years though.

if you can't convince them, confuse them.

Re: frame swap

The 929 and 945 have 'tuned flex' frames.

ok now I need to be all educated. was it that the early 900s had too much flex? was there a difference between any of the years as far as frame for the 900? Figure I might as well get some edumacation while seeing if I can get him some help.
