rear tire question

My rear tire is about shot. My front still has about 50% so I wanted to get a take off to finish out the front with and then go with a new set. Does anyone have or know where to get a good 190 50 17? What about using a 180 55 take off? Who on here uses the 180s?

Re: rear tire question

I use the 180 as well. It seems as if it drops into the corners slightly better than the 190, plus its cheaper. If I were you I would buy a new rear instead of a take off. 2 new rears for every 1 front is the standard practice for street riding.

Re: rear tire question

I just switched to the Pilot Powers and still running the 190. It drops into corners pretty darn easy with those tires. I would buy a new set and sell the old front on ebay. Someone on there will definately pick it up

I was hoping to get a takeoff and that would probably get my front pretty close to needing replacing. I was then going to try the avon 45/46s and see if I could get alittle more mileage. I heard they stick pretty well also.
