Signals LEDS : running/turn ..electrical problem! need help please!!

I have just installed front LED turn signals, that came with a "whatever there is in there" load box for the pair of signals.
Problem is that there was only 2 wires going in for each side on the box,
and my bike as running + signal ( 3 wires ) on the signals

so i connected the running+signal wire to each side ( together )

the led blinkers come on when on ON position, and start flashing correctly once asked for

problem is that, the rear bulbs ( flish mount shits with normal bulbs )
became really really bright all of a sudden, and started to melt completly after 30+ secs ..

what can i do about that ?

would using leds in the back resolve this problem ?
i don't care if it starts flashing quicker ..i only want not to go play with fire in my wiring, and aim for better visibility!

is it something normal ?
could i only add resistors to the rear circuitry ?

anyone with knowledge please help me out on that one

thanks

PS : bike = horny 900
now with 600rr front end

I dont know if it will matter, but I would suspect the load box (I'm guessing its just a resistor) should only be on the signal filiment. Its the flasher unit that needs a particular amount of current going through it to flash properly, nothing to do with the running light filiment.

hhaha ..my stupid bike took fire near the rear tailamps when i started it up...
scared me!
then i lost 2 hours testing every stupid module on the bike because the pump wouldn't pressurize anymore when on ON position
but it was the PCIII that was dead because i dind't replace the lighting fuse ( 10a)
and it uses rear license plate lighting for power..ahha crazy life :p

so i need to find ergnomic clean powerfull leds for the back of the bike now!!

the 2 wire signal should not be used as a running light and turn signal together. it should be used as one or the other. most use it as the turn signal and ditch the running light up front. you are frying the rears cause the system thinks you are constantly "turning".

never connect the running+flash wires together. cut the runnign light wire cause you won't be using it anymore. and then go replace the wiring and bulbs and everything you just fried. damn that has to hurt.

Re: Signals LEDS : running/turn ..electrical problem! need help please!!

i know that they don't belon together..but at max i was in for a fuse blow
so i said..why not give it a try

since both doesn't run at the same time..i dind't account for it to do much
( but i know it does do something )

neway ... now it seems that i have to take the head off the engine..again
i forgot to shave the dull pins accordingly to head shaving (noob error GRRRR ...my calcs were telling me that it was ok ..but it seems like not )
the bike doesnt' hold good, and coolant is leaking out on the rear side of the head

so lighting stuff will have to wait ..i hope i can do it all tonight
ahha
