01 929 running rich even when warm.

Hello,
I bought my 01 929 about a month ago and love it. The bike has about 3700 miles on it and it is stock. It feels like a have some flat spots here and there but it idles very smoothly and overall seems pretty healthy. The only thing is that the bike runs really rich even when warmed up. I noticed it a while ago and didn't think much of it but now more and more people are pointing it out to me and so I want to fix it. I am thinking about changing the air filter and spark plugs, but it seems a little early for that considering only 3700 miles. The bike did, however, sit for about 2 years w/o running. Anyone have any thoughts?

Re: 01 929 running rich even when warm.

Go pick up a Power commander. I've got a 01 also with 25k on it .
Think I drove it without one for about as long as it took to ship it out .
Also have a yosh slip on . Bike ran like **** befor PC . Runs great now .
Best bets are also Ohlins rear , 9.0 or 9.5 front springs , A Scotts dampner
and a set of bridgestone 014teens w/ 180 rear .
Peace
Ed

Re: 01 929 running rich even when warm.

Yeah I think I'm going to be getting the PCIII. I just got a leo vince bolt on in the mail today so that will be going on tonight. Where do you get the maps? Is the a leo vince map that you know of? I just put pirelli diablos on and did a DIY fender eliminator. A couple of other people recommended the steering damper but I haven't felt like I need it yet. Thanks.
