Heat sheild removal on 1000RR

I was wondeing how you get the heat sheild off of the 1000RR, I have the tail stock almost completley off and am now working on the battery tray...can some one please help...

Cant help, I can suggest you buy the manual..It should have the procedure for heat shield removal

Trying to find a manual up here is pretty difficult, although it is on my list of things to get while in tennesse(I brought it with me honest )

I dont think that I am going to bother with it now, I am just trying to get some stuff done and thought that would be a good place to start.

On the same note, any one know which colour wire is the positive on the plate light hook up?

Thanks a ton, I found the voltmeter in the garage, but now I need to find the soldering gun... it just never ends

I will be sure to post pics up when I am done. May take a while though as I will be leaving to go to the gap really soon
