Will a 929 oil filter fit on a 1000rr?

Trying to sort out what parts off my 929 will make the trade to a Repsol....should I pick one up tomorrow. I have a scotts reuseable filter on the 929 and I'd like to keep it if possible.

Just about all the Honda filters are the same.

I use a Purolator auto filter, its better and cheaper too. If you are worried about the "oil pressure of a motorcycle" being higher, your honda oil pump is set at a regulated 71 psi, compared to 40-60 for an auto.

No worry on pressure, just threading and contact surface size. The 929 used a stubby filter due to the header, but hopefully thats the only change.

I can't wait, soon oil filter arguements will rage like what oil to buy, or which exhaust should I use.

do check the side bar on this one - interesting.

Should give one plenty of reading whilst on 'the Throne' .

Guess I'll make an update, the 929 and 1000rr filter were identical. The 1000rr is running the Scotts 929 filter with no issue.
