best way to remove and replace tail section on 929?

whats the best way to take off and put back on the 929 tail section? i just got my bike painted and it was a bitch to take off, but i dont want to force it on like i did off and possibly damage the paint. i was wondering if there was some sort of method or trick to putting the tail section on. thanks for your time.

Not really...it's a pain any way you try it. Just pry it to the side and go slow.

The rear section is kind of a bitch to get on. You have to gently pry it apart enough to get it around the R/R on the left side. The stock plastic has a fair amount of flex in it so it's typically not a problem. Hopefully your paint has some elasticity to it...
