Rear turn signals in passenger pegs?

Just wondering if anyone else on here has done this. I want to get rid of the stock rear signals but don't wanna spend the money on a undertail. What I'm going to do is drill 5 holes in each peg then put LEDS in the pegs and silicone the back so no water gets in. I'll post pics when i get it done.

seen blue ones on a gixxer, they were very hard to see even at night. he could have used cheap LEDs though.

if you can't convince them, confuse them.

Re: Rear turn signals in passenger pegs?

I have the red ones and they show up very well...even in daylight...I had them done by Tristan off of e-bay very nice job and very very good to deal with If you are serious don't hesitate to call him, you won't be disapointed. They clean up the bike a lot and if you need to keep your pegs you may as well use them for something

Re: Rear turn signals in passenger pegs?

I just sent a set of pegs in for Tristan too... 1krr's and 954's. My only concern is the visibility of the R peg on the 954 b/c of the stock tail pipe. It's my buddie's bike and he's considering some drastic changes to his 954's exhaust so he went ahead and did the pegs. Hope to have them back any day now!

try looking around at local electric orientated shops for led resistors already wired and heat shrinked....it makes it a lot easier than trying to find all your own parts like i did. i think even radio shack has some.

Tristans LEDS are sweet!

I had mine done and they are awesome. I chose the amber LED option so they aren't as bright in the daytime as the red LED. I use them in conjunction with my rear taillight trailer converter thingy so they blink along with the pegs.

Here's some photos of them before I put them on the bike. I need to get some pics of them actually on the bike and blinking next.

I'll save you the trouble...

Here are mine right after I put them on, I have not had too many complaints about visability either, night or day, mind you they show up much better at night.

Sorry for the crappy pics but I hope that you get the idea. Very happy with them and I have had them for over a year now.
