Installing new frame sliders

Tomorrow my frame sliders are supposed to be delivered. I bought the Woodcraft ones which require cutting on the plastic. Anyone have any experience with cutting the body for sliders on a 1kRR? A little nervouse about it

Thanks!
david

Re: Installing new frame sliders

I have a Repsol my self, and after paying more for the stickers and ''paint'', no freaking way I will put holes into them...... I say just buy another set. I have the Lightning one and all they had left at my stealer where the red ones. Well after putting them on they just fit right in the red portion of the fairing.

Re: Installing new frame sliders

I considered going with a street set of sliders but opted for the race set instead. Bike looks good though... I like the colored windshield. Who's is that?

a friend gave it to me for my birthday.... I will find out though and get back to you.

If you are going to cut the plastic, get the proper size hole saw and start from the outside. Find a good shape hole saw AND adapter, you don't want to have it spin in a oval kinda way......

The colored windshield is from Memphis shades.

Re: Installing new frame sliders

laser pointer securely attached to a tripod aimed at the center of the motor mount. reinstall plastics and mark where the laser hits. That's the center of your hole. Tape around the outside surface and use the correct hole saw.
