Re: Dealer service?

Ok thanks to all of you guys I found out that I had a recall part, got some labor for free and got my bike running for 2 days, the recall was about a pressurized fuel line and they did the labor and replaced it. Now my bike is doing the same thing it did when I sent it in for work. My fuel pump wont wind up again and I ended getting stuck in the middle of no where. I also did pay them to check out my fuel pump to see if everything was ok. They said it was ok. Now what should I do? should I return it to honda service guys and demand another free checkup and repair? Or what? give me some info guys .

Re: Dealer service?

I work at car dealership and i can give expert instructions on how to make a service manager kiss your ass. First of all your dealership is not by any means the final word. There is a district rep that the dealerships report to. The pecking order, you see.

Call the next nearest honda dealer and explain to the service manager all about how you were mistreated by other stealership. Tell him you want to talk to somebody higher up on the Honda totem pole. He will gladly give the name and # of the guy. What hurts another dealership will help his.

Next call the Rep and tell him your case and be a cool headed guy. You must play the Loyal Honda customer/victim card. If you are truly getting screwed by the dealership he will back you. He will straighten things out with the dealer.

Go back and get the fuel problem fixed for free! (well, you may have to pay for some parts).
