Diffrence between the california 929?

I'm going to be putting a new exhaust on my bike and i read that if i have a california model i have to get a new o2 sensor as well? Do i need an 02 sensor or is it just california smog b/s? Also would putting a slip on effect the o2 sensor at all?

Thanks

The o2 sensor is in the mid pipe. If you just put a slip on, your fine. If you go with a 3/4 or full system, you need to either weld a bung in for the sensor, or buy a sensor eliminator. I think Erion made them.

Dyno Jet sells the eliminator for like $20.

Easy to tell, just check the mid pipe. Should be down by your right foot just under/around the peg area.
