hydraulic brake switch

I have just installed some valtermoto 3.5 rearsets and have also bought the corresponding pressure switch for the brakes.....however one problem:

I know I replace the banjo bolt, but where do I plug the wires into? These are male plugs and I'm not to sure where they go. I assumed that they would plug into the existing switch, but it doesn't seem so.

Any suggestions?Experience?

Re: hydraulic brake switch

Check the part #'s to see that you have the right switch/bolt. It should just plug into the existing harness.

It's amazing how stupid some people can be.

Re: hydraulic brake switch

Rear brake? When I did it on my 929, I had to cut the connecting plug off the wires on the bike, leaving the 2 wires. The banjo bolt pressure switch has two wires. Get some bullet connectors, and attach the wires together, doesn't matter which one goes to which one, there's no pos or neg. Hope that helps.

Re: hydraulic brake switch

Yeah, I think I'll do that. Just connect the two wires together from the existing switch. I didn't want to have to cut but, it seems its my only option.

Cheers for that. I'll let you know the result shortly.

Re: hydraulic brake switch

Soldering's a good option, I'm just not good at it, so I used connectors!
