Suggestions Please

Recently picked up this 954 from a friend for 4500. It was drooped with one damaged fairing. I had it repaired and painted black. Now I don't know if I should add decals or just keep it clean. A lot of people thought it was a 600.....haha. Please post your response

Images don't compress when you zip them... Please re-post the actual images instead of ZIPs.

Re: Suggestions Please

I would paint the whole thing black and leave it unmarked personally but that's just me... to the funny farm.

ConqSoft,

"Images don't compress when you zip them... Please re-post the actual images instead of ZIPs."

I tried that. It took really long just to tell me they were all to big even after I upgraded my account. When I made them .zip files it some how worked.

Re: Suggestions Please

If I were going to add any decals it would be a silver HONDA decal on the very bottom

However, I'm with the other guys, have the upper and the tank painted black as well. Leave it unmarked.

I love to head out to the dragstrip and listen to the announcer try and figure out what I'm riding. My 900RR is solid Yellow. No decals what-so-ever. I've thought about it. I've even placed a few decals on the bike. I just end up peeling them back off within a few hours.

As much as I'm at the track you would think they would learn by now. Other than a Triumph (Try-Umpff) and an, R-1 my bike is the only Yeller one that runs locally.

Re: Suggestions Please

Because image attachments are limited to 1meg each, and ZIPs aren't... You needed to resize the images down a bit to get them to fit. The originals were 2000x1800 or something, so I sized them to 1024x768 and they are only about 130k each.

Re: Suggestions Please

I like that all black idea. I saw a 03 GSXR 1000 that was painted flat black. It looked pretty cool until he was beside a shiny bike. It kinda looked cheap. I heard two brothers makes the best exhaust's for honda's. I think this one would look really sweet on there.

Re: Suggestions Please

Consider a silver Honda wing across the black. Maybe even ghost on in so as he rides by people go, "WTF was that?"

That or, go for the all black option. Nice job on the paint and body by the way.

Re: Suggestions Please

Thank's Mojave954 I never thought of getting some ghost wings painted in. The more post's I get the more I'm leaning towards the all black option. This is great! I love this site.

Re: Suggestions Please

It looks like a bike that's been crashed. +1 on going all black. You can get really stealthy and powdercoat your rearsets, swingarm, etc black as well.

And then there's this asshole...

Re: Suggestions Please

Just get the black upper from the black/red '03 and take the last sticker off the lower like you did all the other stickers.
Otherwise it looks like it has been crashed and looks like every other bike that has taken the stickers off the lowers and tail.
No painting at all on the plastics that are molded in black.

Re: Suggestions Please

Go all black...it rocks! Very hard to keep clean, but if you put a few coats of clear on it should hold up well.

Re: Suggestions Please

Going all black.....What about decal's? Should I put 954 or an RR on there. I don't want it to look corny with too much stickers either. I also don't want it to look too much like an f4i. (nothing wrong with F4i's i like them, for all you F4i guy's and gals out there)

Re: Suggestions Please

No decals...Maybe a little red RR sticker on the tail. Leave the rest black. Send your swingarm to davef and have him powdercoat it black.
