929 race can fuelling

Guys, I need to partake of some experience here.

I'm gonna get a race can for my 929 at some point and I wanna ask if others have adjusted the fuelling when fitting one? I've heard that a race can could induce a flat spot in the midrange and will need a Power Commander fitted to iron it out, but I've also heard that's not necessary. Fitting a Power Commander could free up more BHP than I'd be comfortable with, having never ridden a litre bike before, so I'm wondering if it's necessary.

All experiences gratefully received!

With a full exhaust you will most definitely need a Power Commander and a custom map. With just a slip-on, you can get away without it, but it's still beneficial.

I'm just thinking the silencer (UK term "can" - apologies for slang lol). I've never had fuelling remapped in the past and haven't had any noticable problems, so was hoping the 'Blade would be the same.

No, you don't have to...but it'll smooth out throttle response if you do.
