Paint durability on the new Honda

I recall hearing a few people gripe about the paint quality on the newer Honda sportbikes, specifically the CBR range.

Can anyone comment on whether this has been addressed or not in the 2006 line?

And why the hell don't they offer that dead sexy all silver version in the thou?

Yeah, exactly.

What is your personal record for most hours you've owned a bike?

Check out Pete's new silver/white, it is sweet looking!

No gripes on the RR paint ('04 red) and in my opinion it is far better than the paint on my '02 RC

Must obey the sheep dog

I see a silver/gray on Honda's website, but no white.

That's what he has. It is two tones of silver, not white.

Is a paradigm worth 20 cents?

Re: Paint durability on the new Honda

The paint issue was mainly on the 600RR's and it was centered around the tank area.. The only issue I have heard with paint on the 1k is that the orange on the Repsol wheels comes off too easy while cleaning. Even Honda Polish removed it.

Re: Paint durability on the new Honda

The '04 black 1000RR was the same way... Might not be an issue anymore.
