00 cbr 929 oil question

Havent bought a manual yet but how many quarts does it take to fill a 929, and should i go to a honda dealer for oil.

With oil filter removed it takes 3.9 quarts, otherwise it's 3.7 quarts. FYI, I put about 3 quarts in and then check the sight glass to prevent overfilling.

As for type of oil, the Honda oil works fine, but there are other better oils available for more money.

I used Spectro Gold in my 929,what a difference it made to gearchanges.Def worth a try in my books.

I put just a little over 3 in it. Put 3 in, run it a few min, let it sit a few min, then check. Add if needed.
I'm useing repsol and it's working great. But its about 13 bucks a quart.
