Re: Need Help on mod....

Hi guys, I think this topic has been discussed before bit I'm quite new to the site and I was thinking of the following mods.

1. Akro Evolution Line (full system)
2. pair valve or flapper mod

Now the questions are, does the 929 sound different with a full system that a bolt on akro, if so is it louder and throatier!!!

What does the pair valve mod or the flapper mod do, I've heard a lot about these two mods but cant understand the performance gains.

The exhaust is getting on tomorrow so I was thinking that I'd get either the flapper or the pair valve mod done too...

Thanks

With a full system, do both. Consider a PCIII and dyno tuning as well to take full advantage of your new system.

I already have the pciii, but whats the main advantage of getting a full system than a bolt on, i know its stupid to ask because i already placed an order for the full system

I take it your asking what differences can you expect by going with a full exhaust system versus just the slip-on canister?

If so, with the full system, you 'should' be getting more power when the bike is properly dyno tuned with a PCIII as the after market headers show provide better flow of the exhaust gases. Generally speaking the after market headers should be lighter than the stock headers as well saving you some weight on the whole bike (and most certainly in your wallet ).

After tuning expect a difference in not just peak power but where in the rev range you get that power. Some systems (e.g. Erion racing full system ** I THINK **) shift a good deal of horsepower higher up nearer to redline - this can be good or bad based on your preferences.

And lastly you may see a larger difference in fuel efficiency with a full system vs. the slip-on canister alone.
