Re: Tyres Dunlop Qualifiers any good ?

I have run them and Diablo Corsas. Grip wise the Qualifier may be a bit less but is very close (if not equal) However on the track they seem to have lasted a bit longer on the RC51 (still wearing on the 1000RR with road use so I don't know)

Must obey the sheep dog

Re: Tyres Dunlop Qualifiers any good ?

Got a set and I'm impressed. While I only have 500 miles or so on them, I have to say that I'm impressed. They're sticky enough to give confidence, yet they still look like brand new. Gonna use them on a track day at the end of the month; guess we'll see what they're really made of then.

Re: Tyres Dunlop Qualifiers any good ?

I took a look at those photos of the 'bad' Dunlop Qualifier tire. The first pic looks like there is something, other than the wear indicator, inside the tread groove? The second picture looks 100% normal to me, from the photo perspective that is. Still i wouldn't want to risk my life on 2 wheels and subpar tires that may come apart.

With that being said LOL.. i have Dunlop 208ZR's and have had no issues with them, other than that they are old and need to be replaced. I even have a plug, from a nail, in the rear tire and have taken the bike up to 145mph on the center of the tire where the plug is.. all told with that plug in there i've done about 6,000 miles on freeways and surface streets. Don't do what i do though LOL. It is a testament to how well Dunlop made the D208's though. In these corporate cost cutting days I can't say the same for the Qualifiers. I haven't even tried them.

Re: Tyres Dunlop Qualifiers any good ?

whF normal you need to get new tires if that looks normal. you could see the belts undernieth. i am running qualifiers right now and am happy with them. but the first set cost me some major dow when they failed! tire mounting D209s that just sit thier and when i do use them another 40 ech time i swap tires.

Aliens general, everything about them is alien!

Re: Tyres Dunlop Qualifiers any good ?

In a word ? No.

Michelin Pilot Power or Pirelli Diablo Corsa (for a mix of road and track riding)
