those 954 from US doesn't have HISS but 954 outside US have HISS.. so is the ECM and the wiring harness interchangable??

Re: ECM and harness question

You should be able to swap out the ECU, perhaps with a few minor wiring changes. Loom swap sounds a bit dramatic. Just compare the wiring diagrams between US and yours.

Have done this on a ZX636 and only one wire different US vs AUS.

in which direction? I do not believe so because some of the HISS smarts are in the ECU itself I believe.

What would you need to do this for though?

why put off today what you can wake up late and forget to do tomorrow.

Re: ECM and harness question

For me it's to save money. Insurance write-offs are sometimes sold without keys. Maybe the ambulance driver gets the riders key for him?
I for one am glad the US doesn't get HISS/KISS/etc immob, and that they go cheap on ebay

Re: ECM and harness question

There is a wiring diagram in the back of your owners manual (just checked).
