Re: Micron or 2 brothers???

yea, ride at a higher rpm. save some cash and it will also have the power ready.

and yes i hate loud pipes.

Better yet unpack the micron and that should boost the DB output. (remove the glass insulation inside if it has some inside, most do.)

Aliens general, everything about them is alien!

Re: Micron or 2 brothers???

I dont want to unpack it and change the power characteristics of the pipe. I'd rather keep it in mint condition and pick up something different. from what I hear a Jardine is prewtty much what I'm looking for. I have been hearing that two brothers get pretty loud and sound pretty good. But then again I hear people say micron is loud and I know for a fact they're not. Im looking for a medium range pipe. IMO the Micron is a quite pipe. and D&D is too loud so I'm looking for someting in between. suggestions?

Hi Mate,

Which Micron do you have - the street or the track version? Reason for the question is that my track Micron is definately not what I consider a quiet pipe.

It is the bolt on carbon fibre one.

Re: Micron or 2 brothers???

It is a Bolt on polished race pipe. Its just abit quiet for me. I like it for the horsepower it makes. (I picked up a few HP with the bolt on ) and it is loud out the back of the bike when I wind it up and when I cruise it is almost silent. I followed my bike with my Bro and I couldnt hear my bike even when he did a 6th gear roll but when he down shifted I heard it but not for long. I had a D&D and it sounded good on the bike but from behind was too loud. I just bought a Titanium 2Bro can off Ebay for $70.00 tonight. I will try it out and if I dont like it then it will be for sale. I have a micron before this one on the same bike but it had a dent and it said for off road use only on it and it was about the same. What are your opinions of micron and 2 Bro?

Re: Micron or 2 brothers???

I bought this 2 Bro cheap enough I will either sell it and make a little $$$ or I will make it a shorty and pull a little baffling out to make it louder. I think @ bros are pretty mean sounding and alot of people have told me they are pretty loud. I had one before but it was new and I traded it for the micron when it had about 800MI on it and I dont think that it was broken in yet.

Sounds like a good plan mate. Hope you get the sound you are after.

Re: Micron or 2 brothers???

When the funds come in I will probably buy a jardine and be done with it unless my new 2 bro works out good. I was hoping to find a jardine for about $100 but nobody wants to come up off them. I can get a new one for $235 from my dealer so when the time comes I will probably get it. Just curious it seems alot of people on the forum think that Micron is a pretty loud pipe. Which do u guys think is a louder pipe, 2 bro or Micron?

Thanks for the replies
