Re: Teh Fireblade!

If you're a sportbike trainee you might want to consider a bike that is a little more forgiving.

Hey Jet, get me a coke while you are up. This ought to be good.

It's amazing how stupid some people can be.

Re: Teh Fireblade!

Your best bet is to search the archives, you'll find TONS of useful info on good beginner bikes. A late 90's 600 is a great place to start.

Re: Teh Fireblade!

C'mon guys he may not be a total fool, If your serious about getting into sportbikes I would suggest you start out with a 600, don't buy new because your probably gonna do something stupid and drop it at least once A modern liter bike is nothing like the old big bore litre's from 20 years ago. Hell 600's put over 90hp to the ground in a 370lb package. Do what you want but Ignore 21 years of experience at your own peril. Should you choose to carry on in your current manner I will sit back and enjoy the show.

Hey can someone pass the salt?

If you want new, I think the Yamaha YZF600R is the one of the best sporty bikes to learn on. It is very smooth and forgiving, not as responsive/twitchy as some of the higher performance machines and can be found for reasonable a price.

Good luck.
