Tracking the Repsol

OK, I'm not too sure what to do. Here's what I'm thinking right now. Selling all the fairing AND wheels (since it's a Repsol) on e-bay (or here if there's any interest) and getting a nice set of forged wheels and fiberglass fairing. I'm thinking that I should be pretty even $$ wise after this? Not too sure how much to ask though The fairing are mint but there is a scratch on the front wheel nothing that can't be fixed. Was thinking around 2000$ or so....

Or I could always only sell only the fairing and keep the wheels and paint the new set Repsol replica too. Should end up with a little money left...

What do you guys think?

I wanna go fast!

I think you should sell the Repsol as it is, and buy an already tracked out 1000rr.

Re: Tracking the Repsol

It will be quite hard for me to get a good price for it here. It is already on a local board here since over 2 month. Never got a single call even though I'm asking a good price. There is no market for sports bike here since the license plate fee are going sky high next year. And since I bought the bike here in Quebec, selling it in the US is not a good option either as you guys get much better deal on new bike than here.

Re: Tracking the Repsol

Sounds like a good plan. You should have no trouble selling the plastics and wheels. Create an ID on 1000rr.net and post your plastics for sale there. You'll get lots of hits.

And then there's this asshole...

That does look like it could be a good project bike. I'm not sure I'd buy one like that without knowing more about it, being able to really check it out myself, etc. unless they were just giving it away.

Thanks for thinking of me, jetbdude! Good luck with the sale of your parts, if that's the route you choose!

Re: Tracking the Repsol

Why not use the repsol plastics on the track? Looks nice and very distracting

That blue/yellow 1k looks like it flipped over but still looks sexy. I'm not just saying that cause I have the same bike or am I

Ask 550 for the wheels and 1500 for the bodywork.

And then there's this asshole...
