ECM 800 bucks?

Had my 954 that got in the wreck a little bit ago taken to the shop..couldn't get the engine to start. The guy calls me today and says i need a new ECM and it's gonna run me 800 bucks...my question is, can i either fix this myself, or what. seems like a big rip-off to me.

OK $800 sounds big but...
38770-MCJ-671 $732 on Ron Ayers

Add some labor and poof. Now most dealers will not install used parts nor spend labor and time hunting eBay.

No your dealer is not ripping you off, I repeat they are not stealing from you. Can you do it for yourself at a lower cost, probably.

Must obey the sheep dog
