CHEAPEST OEM SELLER

I NEED A NEW WATER PUMP FOR MY 1996 900RR. ANYONE KNOW WHO HAS THE ABSOLUTE LOWEST PRICE FOR OEM?

WE'RE DOWN TO ONE SALARY FOR TWO PEOPLE AND THE BIKE IS MAIN TRASPORTATION FOR ME TO WORK, NEED TO SAVE AS MUCH AS I CAN.

$35 ON EBAY GETS ME A USED ONE, BUT WHY REPLACE A 10 YEAR OLD PART WITH A 10 YEAR OLD PART.

THANKS

Re: CHEAPEST OEM SELLER

You could have at least given him the link directly to the water pump he's looking for.

Look, lean, believe!!

Re: CHEAPEST OEM SELLER

No, don't use Ron Ayers. Even though they are cheaped than a 'stealer', they are still expensive.

Get the part number from their website, and then order it from ZANOTTI MOTOR CO. INC, Butler, PA 16001 - Motorcycle, ATV, Trikes, Golf Cars. Look in the 'online shopping' menu on the left menu bar. Make sure the part # is exact, with no spaces at the start or end (19200-MW0-010).

I ordered most all of my 900RR rebuild parts from Zanotti. They were way cheaper than Ron Ayers and their service was lightning quick.

Case in point...Ron Ayers want $125.43 ($139.43 w/ shipping) for the pump and Zanotti will sell it to you for $109.53 ($125.96 w/shipping).

If you need any other Honda parts, order them at the same time. With Zanotti, the shipping gets incrementally cheaper the more parts you order from them.

Cheers!

Wow a savings of $14.43 for the part and you still need to use Ron Ayers to find the part number (at no charge of course).

I guess the money Zanotti saves by not being a site sponsor just goes back to his customers right?

Sorry, I'll stay with the company that has treated me just fine for the past 6 years and spends the time and money to keep an up to date parts fiche online . . .

Re: CHEAPEST OEM SELLER

Well, the question was asked about where the cheapest OEM parts supplier was. And I answered it for him. And Ron Ayers isn't the only one who has an online microfiche. Based on your logic, on the flipside, Ron Ayers then obviously make the customer pay for the privilege of them being a site sponsor, no? Clearly, by way of their higher prices, we help fund their presence here.

They may be a site sponsor - and thanks for that - (and I have given them my business before), but a $14~ difference is $14 more in his pocket. When you order quite a few parts, the difference does add up. Besides, it's not illegal to shop around.

That's what competition is all about.

I totally agree and for this gentleman, shopping around is what he was doing. You are correct, there are other online fiches, but every other one I have used doesn't seem to have all the models or all the diagrams. They all seem to be about 1 year out of date (Parts Fish still doesn't have the correct clutch breakdown for the 2000/2001 929).

I have also found that a call to Ayers 800 number will get a discount if I ask. The last piece I purchased (fuel pump for the RC) was dropped 38.00 below their online price which was around 120.00 less than any dealer within 200 miles of my location. I didn't check with Zanotti, but no one else was willing to budge from their posted price at the time.

Re: CHEAPEST OEM SELLER

Ron Ayers does not have Fiche for an 06 1000RR yet. So they are not quite up to date. I use Service Honda for my OEM parts.

Good to know. The 3 or so dealers around here (probably not much worse than around Holland ), don't even have all the most recent fiches. C&C in Brighton wanted to charge me to "order" a fiche for the 04 RC (a few numbers were changed from 03) so I could order some parts from them . . .

Re: CHEAPEST OEM SELLER

For an 06 Blade, MRCycles has a fiche I have been using to get part #'s. Sorry for namedropping companies that are not sponsors.

Not a problem. One of my favorite vendors is Street & Comp and they aren't a site sponsor either. We like to see members check with the sponsors but are certainly realistic about competition in the marketplace.

How do you get a discount by asking? I called and asked and was told point blank that the prices indicated were the discounted prices.

I guess it must depend on who you speak to .

Or maybe they were having a sale on RC fuel pumps at the time .
