I pulled the trigger on the ohlins suspension for my 954 today!

Ordered everything from Dan Kyle:

I bought a used set of Ohlins R&T forks that he will put in 2006 25mm Superbike valving. A DK rear suspension link, and an Ohlins rear shock!

I should have everything mounted up by next weekend!

thanks for all the advices

SWEET!!!
Just curious as to why you didn't settle for DK's revalve job on the forks, as it's supposed to work almost as good as the Ohlins? Not that there's anything like having the Ohlins forks, though.

I talked to Dan and he said damping wise the 06 Ohlins SBK valving would allow me to run a lighter front spring and is what he recommends for Track Days and/or racing. He said this setup would be better than R&T valving, 03 Ohlins SBK valving, and a stock front fork re-valve, so I took his advice

I'm running the Arata high mount, Dan had asked about this and said my application was good to go

You are one lucky SOB. I am envious. I wish I could find a set of forks. I would like to know how my 954 would feel with a setup like that.

How did you find out they had a used set for sale?

By chance really, I asked about buying a set of 1000RR R&T forks and using those. He emailed me back and said he had enough parts to put a set of ohlins 954 forks together, so for me, that was an easier way to go about it, plus I think coming directly from Dan instead of a private sale, I have a better chance of them being setup correctly.

that is damn tempting but I think I'll have to decline as of right now, BUT, would you do me the courtesy of allowing me the room to change my mind and accept your offer at a later date?
