Re: At the Risk of Sounding Like a Squid...

Hey all,
Don't think I'm a squid asking about rim polishing (admit it, it does make the bike look a little better and make it stick out from the rest of the crowd). I already polished the lips of the rim, but am currently thinking about doing a complete job and polishing the entire wheel. I know that the cast spokes and center are going to be a complete bitch to do, but had a few questions.
Is it OK to sand down the the direction arrows or any other marking on the spokes?
Have any of y'all done this? Any tips?

After doing this, I'm thinking about hitting them with a shot of clear coat or getting a clear powder coat to protect the shine. Any thoughts?
