HISS question

Hi there all, quick question, hopefully someone can help. I crashed my 03 954 blade with HISS. damaged ignition barrell and HISS sender. I now have a new key and barrel, i need to replace the sender. How do i go about coding the new key ? what is the HISS sender bit called ? (exactly that ? without the bit?) is this all i need to do to make new key work ? i do have an original key also.

Re: HISS question

Keep the original key end close to the new sender and it will start on.

There should be somesort of number plate(small aluminium plate) on the key chain, which has the code.

I would take the ignition barrel apart and use the internals to the new ingition lock, that way the org key would work.

Re: HISS question

The Clymer repair manual lists the procedure, we in the U.S. did not get the HISS system on the 954 so I have not tried this. Get the manual. It also states that once 4 key's have been coded to the ECU that no more can be added, the ECU is full and will have to be replaced if you have lost the key's coded to it.

Sorry I don't have to time to type it out for you.
