Re: 929 windscreen

Who makes the biggest, mose wind deflecting windscreen for a 929? I seem to remember seeing a huge one on one of Taz's old bikes, perhaps an LP Euro? Thinking about doing an Ironbutt Saddlesore and want something to cut down on the wind buffeting.

Re: 929 windscreen

I have a LP Euro and do not recommend it. It doesn't provide much if any protection over the stock and makes the wind passing over the screen loud.

I've been thinking of getting a Fabri DB. They look real nice.

Re: 929 windscreen

Taz had an actual Honda screen from Europe I think. It was huge.

Re: 929 windscreen

I have the tall European windscreen and it looks and works great! I think I got it from Ford & Ellis in the UK. It was listed as an accessory on a Honda Europe site and it has a Honda part number. I will see if I can find my invoice.

Re: 929 windscreen

Could not find invoice in limited time I had to search, but will keep looking

Here is link to Honda UK, accessories. Click on the fire-blade, and the first item you scroll to is the sports touring windshield (00/01 YM).

http://www.honda.co.uk/motorcycles/e...cessories.html

Mine has raised sides, and looks like it has a slightly more pronounced 'peak,' but it is hard to tell from the picture.

There was a pic of my windscreen on the Honda Italia site, but is is gone now.

I had a double bubble, but tossed it for this Honda Euro tall windscreen. The Euro is much much better.

It says brown tinted, but mine is very very slight, and barely noticeable. It appears that the tint is a function of the material, rather that any color that is added.

Here is a pic of mine from the motorush forum:

I'm using the optional Honda OEM screen available in Europe. A buddy of mine picked it up for me. You might get an OEM place in England to ship it to you. Being a Honda part, it fits superbly.

Re: 929 windscreen

From Motorush. I can't vouch for the part number, or what model year it fits. Maybe Ford and Ellis can help you.

'The part number for the Euro Honda screen is 08R80 MCJ-800. You can try emailing some of the U.K. Honda dealers(http://www.abl48.dial.pipex.com/honda.htm) and see about mail-ordering it. I was able to find a dealer who's going to send me the Euro taillight lens.'
