Re: Recent pic of my 954

Took this yesterday. I used the Blade up in Arkansas because services are kinda 'iffy' in the Ozark national Forest and the 51 gets maybe 80 miles on a tank. I was constantly going past the fuel light on the Blade (150+ miles) before we found gas.

The Blade did well but the difference between it and the 51 in corners is either getting more distinct due to my added time on the 51, or I'm suffering from lack of concentration due to too many bikes, not being able to 'learn' any of them well enough. There is no question, the 954 was a lot easier to ride on these 600+ mile days though.

I'll be the first to admit the pipe looks very nice. Apparently Devil doesn't use rivets to hold the emblem on. I've always liked the looks of a debadged can so long as holes aren't left behind.

Less is more I guess...

Re: Recent pic of my 954

Funny. While I was in the middle of nowhere, my reserve light came on at 160 miles. I pulled over for gas at 185 miles and put less than 4 gallons in.

Thanks. Its adds a bit of power as well. I'm pretty happy with it so far. It retains the HTEV and some low-end that you may lose with a full system. Sound is pretty good for a 4banger too.

no, they're rivited. I used a 1/2' drill bit and popped the edges of the rivits so they are still in the muffler but the (stupid looking) devil emblem is gone.

I really don't see how you can have too many bikes

Re: Recent pic of my 954

The Devil looks great!

I'm really thinking about getting the high mount with the carbon can for my 954. Will the pipe still work with the stock signals? I have seen pictures of the high mount with stock signals, but I don't know if they had to alter the pipe to make it work. Also, do you need a PCIII with this system? Devil says no, but what do you think?

I'm with you about keeping the low end. That's why I'm leaning towards the Devil 3/4 system. You gain some HP, but don't lose the low end grunt you want on the street.

Thanks!

Looks nice. So, are those rivets eventually going to fall into the can? Need an upclose picture. Are there (2) knubs(?) sticking out of the can or (2) holes? The emblem doesn't really bother me, although it would probably look better without.

BTW, what kind of tires are those? Don't recognize the groove patterns.
