'97 RRV Blade Suspension Help/Suggestions?

Hi Guys,

Was out for my first proper ride on the Blade since i bought it last night with a few mates, and on the way home i was running a bit late so took off down my fave stretch of road to make sure i was home in time. This was a totally enjoyable experience and also the first time i have pushed the bike on a fair bit

However, i noticed that under hard braking from high speed i was getting what i can probably best describe as "wallowing" from the front end, it wasnt an unsafe feeling, just that the front wheel seemed to be so slightly moving side to side. Once the brake was let off it tipped into the corners lovely and is very sure footed around the corners.

What would be the best thing to adjust to try and eradicate this wallowy feeling?

Cheers,
Rob

Excess use of the rear brake can cause this effect too.... Try laying on the front only and see if it still happens.

Re: '97 RRV Blade Suspension Help/Suggestions?

some things u might want to check out at when ur front wheel feels like moving side to side;
front wheel bearings, front wheel axle, fork bushings (internals of the fork which we call it locally)

had my share of ur problem too few years ago when i first bought my bike. turned out to be the front wheel axle and collar which was not in proper condition.

another will be the worn fork bushings, will cause the fork to feel "loose and over-jerking up/down/left/right" but that seldom happens unless the fork has gone thru many crashes and not fully repaired/rebuilt.
