cbr980rr spark plugs

Last year I bored out the ol' 954 to a 980 at 9000mi. I now have 13000mi on it with the origional plugs still in it. I have used about a 50/50 75/25 cam2/gas mix. I run my bike very hard and lately have noticed a lack of power just wondering if the way I ride and the cam2 would cause the plugs to wear out alot quicker. If new plugs are needed I would like to do them before I get it dyno tuned again. What would be a good plug for this bike ngk iridiums or denso iridiums thanks for the input

Re: cbr980rr spark plugs

I hear the NGK CR9EHIX-9 are good and reasonably priced (NGK.com - Application Search Results. I'm thinking about buying a set but still looking what else people use..

Re: cbr980rr spark plugs

I noticed a great improvment when i changed from normal electrode NGK's to the Iridium NGK. I've heard people say the same for the Denso Iridiums.

Check out eBay because i bought a set of 4 NGK IX plugs for $32. Dealerships want like $11-15 each.

Take a look at each of your old spark plugs from your engine... look online for photo comparisons to see if you can find out what your engine may be doing poorly. You could simply have carbs that are tuned incorectly or out of tune.

Re: cbr980rr spark plugs

I'm using NGK Iridiums in my 945cc 900RR.

Love 'em!
