Re: spark plugs

Good Luck with getting an answer to your post-I ask the same question a week ago and got 1 reply out of 58 hits(thanks booth23). So I ventured out on my own got the NGK Iridium IX CR9EHIX-9. I'm installing them tomorrow and will let you know how much of a pain in the A$$ it was to change them out.

Re: spark plugs

I changed mine out a month or so ago. Every one was really helpfull and even posted pics on how to change them.

I went with the NGK iridium plugs. A set of 4 cost me about $35-$40.(929's come stock with the iridium plugs, no sense in downgrading)

Not the easiest job in changing them your self. But if you find my thread it shows a lot of good info.

May be a mod can find it

Re: spark plugs

Twipper changed out the plugs today took about an hour or so to do. I tell you this its hard trying to fit your hands in places they were not meant to go.

Re: spark plugs

I changed mine at 18,500 miles. They still looked pretty good. But the throttle response felt better with the new ones.

Re: spark plugs

I just changed mine at 12k, I immediately noticed more 'MPG', I am only using Platinums, not the Iridiums.

I could not be happier, plus they are like $7.00 each, not $20.
Even new I never puller more than 140mls before the light came on, now I am pulling 140mls(Around town) and 165+ in HWY use or COMBO.

Re: spark plugs

Butt plug?

To the optimist, the glass is half full. To the pessimist, the glass is half empty. To the engineer, the glass is twice as big as it needs to be.
