FORK BUSHINGS!!!!!

I just was wondering where exactly the fork bushings go in forks cause the forks I was working on the bushings were out of place . I am pretty positive where they go but just wanted to see if there was a tech that new !!!

On my 900rr they are on the bottom end of the chrome slider tubes. For the 929RR opposite end because those forks are inverted. There is a recess or groove, if you will, cut out of the chrome tubes that the bushings fit into. It is about a 14mm or so wide groove. Pictured here on this microfiche drawing of the chrome slider tube.

They go on the end of the inner tube. The inners travel with the tube, the outers stay in the end of the outer tube.
I can't imagine where else you could imagine they'd go :-)
