It is but it isnt.
You cant get it on its own form memory, its a P/N thats mated to the pump, but fuel filters are a maintainable item for sure. Something i wrote about on another forum ... ironically the problem below is a large problem of fuel filtering.
i find that roadbike people are really 'lax about bike maintinace. Sure oil and filter (some even do filter every second time) are on the cards, but disgusting coffee colour brake fluids, dirty drive lines and so forth are another, and wheel, swingarm and head stem bearings. Until they die and make noise, they never get a second thought.
It would seem that fuel injection is part of that too. Roadbikes run a high pressure low flow style injector, with small pintle setups, sometime single exit, or even up to triple exit Denso injectors , meaning 3 tiny holes in the tip to atomise the spray of fuel and allow it to vaporise better in the chamber.
You never hear of EFI
servicing in the bike industry, and when i picked up my 929 i found it to be a little rough in the map in a couple places. It already had a PC3
, so i returned it to a 0 map, and tried again. Still there. Rather than mask the problem, i removed the injectors and had them serviced.
Today sifting thru papers/ records/ setup files in my workshop, i found the invoice for my inj servicing, and the data goes as follows on my 4 929RR injectors marked 1-4.

can iron out any bumps in the map on a 30+k km bike.
