Re: CBR 954 Factory Pro velocity stacks

Lots of reading here.
Also, do a search on "Factory Pro velocity stacks"
It might take a few days to go over all of it.

Re: CBR 954 Factory Pro velocity stacks

pc3r, full yosh trs system, flapper mod. I just rode it and it feels like it pulls harder to redline. I can not tell any difference in the middle or bottom. I was ready for a loss in power or no real increase, but I think they do free it up on top.

Re: CBR 954 Factory Pro velocity stacks

I am going to have to get it mapped now. I have considered geting an extra set of injectors that I have laying around to Factory Pro to get them matched. Any thoughts?

Re: CBR 954 Factory Pro velocity stacks

well how much did you pay for the stacks?

I got a set in my ERION and the only reason I bought them is because I think I only paid $165.00 for them vs what factory pro wants for them.

I also have a
2Bros titanium exhaust
pcIII
BMC filter
flapper mod (completly removed)

and I also have this ram-air set up yet to be proven but my bike pulls hard all the way from around 3k (i still have the HTEV in it) until redline.

I don't think they are a waste of money for the simple reason that yamaha has a variable intake tube length that goes from short stacks to long at different rpm's kind of like V-TEC but with velocity stacks.

so we don't benefit all over but mostly at that paticular point and a mild drop at another.

Re: CBR 954 Factory Pro velocity stacks

195$ I have a full system(no htev) and the front wheel rises under power at 3,500 rpms. It is a misconception that the htev gives any more power anywhere.

PSSSSS....
It's not there for power. It's there for rideability.

Re: CBR 954 Factory Pro velocity stacks

I have no drops in power or surges anywhere. I find it very hard to believe it could make it any more rideable unless that means less power over the entire rev range. There are dyno charts everywhere that support this. As I said earlier I have a mountain of power below 4 and it pulls very hard and linear to 12200(soon to be 13230) Anyway back to piont at hand- I have scheduled some dyno time in nov to see if they actually do anything. I am going to pay a little extra to see the a/f and power with and without the stacks.

Re: CBR 954 Factory Pro velocity stacks

I will say that after the stuff I have done I get terrible fuel milage. I used to get 130 miles per tank and now I usually get 110-120.
