Exhaust Valve

I am looking at buying a 954. The bike needs an exhaust valve. I was wondering if you could give me any guidence to how hard/easy this would be to do or how expensive/inexpensive it would be to have it done at a shop. Any input is appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Re: Exhaust Valve

Ive always wondered what one of these valves actually do?! Does it control the waste gases going out and helps with the back pressure? Also what is a HTEV valve?

Although Flea's idea is FAR more expensive....it's the better way to go. You can then eliminate the worthless HTEV valve you are looking for.

Are you talking about the HTEV valve or the exhaust valve in the head?
