Steering stem

Does anyone have any pics of the steering stem above the frame neck with the triple clamp off? I am assembling a 954 and cant figure out the placement of the funnel shaped washer. I think that it will go on top of the bearings but if i do that i cannot place the 2 bolts on top with the lock washer in the middle of the 2 and have the triple bolted down with the nut. Pic was taken from a camera phone, sorry bout the quality.

sorry but you're not exactly asking an easy question. most people never take the triples apart. try checking the fiche at Ron Ayers Motorsports - Motorcycle, ATV, Jet Ski and Generators Parts and Accessories or get a service manual.

if you can't convince them, confuse them.

Re: Steering stem

Well, you didn't post in the correct forum first of all. The thread was sitting in the "tools" forum until I noticed it last night and moved it here.

And, if you're doing that kind of work, you really should have a service manual anyway. Then all your questions will be answered.
