Re: Toyota 200 at Willow Springs Raceway

Who here went? I saw a 2001 CBR 929 Erion Edtion with a Fireblade.org decal on the front wind screen. Did you see my bike, I was the other Erion Edition leaking oil everywere *LOL(which I cleaned up so no other riders would slip in it)
I pulled up and was surprised to see anouther Erion there, I was going to park right next to you but someone beat me to it

The 200 mile race was pretty cool, that TZR 250 that came in fourth place blew me away. That was my first race and needless to say it was very cool.

Re: Toyota 200 at Willow Springs Raceway

I parked next to the Erion 929, which was Gforcejunky. I had the 2003 954 with a red rear seat. The 250 that won was non other than Rich Oliver. Who is that you say, well just the winningist 250 rider of all time. He went undefeated all season in the 250GP. I saw your bike also, too bad about the oil spill (a Harley wannabee?) It was a great race until the first pit stop, then it was a 1 man show. Now that you have the bug, sign up for Laguna Seca July 11-14.

Re: Toyota 200 at Willow Springs Raceway

I was there. Watched from the upper stands under the budwieser sign. I saw the 929 as well. Didn't ride the blade, took the Lightning instead. More comfy and didn't have to stand around in leathers.

I hung around your Erion waiting for you to show up, but no luck. I do have a gotee, but my friend was riding my Katana, not a VFR, though I bet he wishes he was riding a VFR. LOL

Next race we will meet up

Re: Toyota 200 at Willow Springs Raceway

to take those pics you were right in front of some of the group from Ridgecrest. Were you the guy with the big hawkin' lense. Could count nose hairs at a 1000 yds with that thing. The other guy we saw was taking pics with a small digital.

Re: Toyota 200 at Willow Springs Raceway

I had your normal everyday digital camera, I saw who your were talking about though, they had lences like canons. My camera is a 4 megapixel, I just croped in and bumped up the saturation on the images for better color.

I've got more pit pick after the 200 was over, more shots from other turns, and some close ups of the stuters bike with the blown tire. Like I said, I'll post them for you guys later

Re: Toyota 200 at Willow Springs Raceway

How true about the Yamaha TZR-250 in being such an easy bike to flick around. Breath on it a bit & it is deadly. I know for I have an '87 TZR-250 sitting in my garage along with my 600 & 929.

both side of my bike are bad sides, some lady knocked her down in the parking lot:

right side; rashed plastic, ding in frame, sratch in clutch cover, and beat up my erion can

left side: rolled of center stand on Palomar mountain, causing a 3 inch crack in the stator cover (hence the oil leak)

My bike sis till pretty, but it is starting to look alittle beat LOL. Once I sell my Katana most the money is going into repairing my 929 (not to mention several cases of beer)

Re: Toyota 200 at Willow Springs Raceway

JB Qwick will fix that stator cover untill you get a new one, it worked fine on one I fixed when a guy went down on GMR.
