Re: Picutes of Ohlins Shock mounts

Uhh, well, the reservoir is attached directly to the shock, so you might mean the adjuster...

Re: Picutes of Ohlins Shock mounts

I have mine mounted to the left side of my bike using the mounting holes where the rear footpeg bracket would attach to the subframe. The rear footpegs and bracket have been removed. I had a small straight bracket that I used to mount the adjustor. The wire was zip tied up and under the subframe.

I don't have pics at the moment, I'll post 'em later if you still want to take a look.

They'll be on their way soon... but probably not soon enough, right?

Re: Picutes of Ohlins Shock mounts

You know, I wish you could just buy a verison with upgrades right from the factory, like the Mille R (now Mille Factory). I would have paid a couple grand extra at the time of purchase for full Ohlins and lighter wheels...

Re: Picutes of Ohlins Shock mounts

Should the adjuster click when turned or does it just turn like the preload adjusters on the fork?

It clicks (or at least should) ever full turn. It's subtle, though, so if you're doing it with gloves on, you might miss it.

Re: Picutes of Ohlins Shock mounts

The preload adjuster doesn't click.
The rebound and compression damping adjusters do, though.

Re: Picutes of Ohlins Shock mounts

What BDA said, assuming you're talking about an Ohlins with the remote preload adjuster....

Maybe there are different versions out, because mine certainly does (the big remote knob thingy)

Re: Picutes of Ohlins Shock mounts

It's not a defined 'click' but you'll feel a very slight bit of resistance, well, that's what mine feels like.

Here are the pics of my mounting, as promised
