new pics of my blade

so i powder coated the rear wheel to match the front and also had a metzeler m3 installed as well to match the front. also installed a new rotor and pads. the pics are of the new wheel job and i did the electronic trunk release. you can see the actuator between the subframe and the bodywork on the right side. the angle tube to pull the lock is of brass from a hobby store used for hard fuel line. actually it is a tube inside a tube to be stiffer and to fit the pull cable better. you can also see the red nylon tube that fits perfectly into the brass tube, that came from a bike store its used for a brake cable to get smoother operation. the links were made from butt connectors without the insulation, just crimped them on an it looked nice and clean. there will be a little trim work done on the plastic in the trunk area then a fitted piece of speaker box carpet laid down for good looks. so tomorrow i will be doing that along with powder coating the side engine covers, clutch cover and stator cover, the same as the wheels. we'll see where it goes from there.

I like the naked look. What did you use for a front headlight and how did you install it?

Re: new pics of my blade

Wow that looks crazy. Are those motocross top triple clamps? I see you are using motocross handlebars too.

The site you gave a link to is not working right now. How much did you spend on each part?

Is it quieter inside your helmet now without the windshield?

Re: new pics of my blade

thats a lsl top clamp made for the 954, the bars are seven eights pro tapers. i tried the link to make sure it worked so if its not copy and paste it in your brouser and it should go. as for how much i spent i dont really know but i got the clamp on ebay for 150.00 the bars about 65.00 the light about 200.00 the signals for 40.00 they were on sale as a returned item, normally around 65.00, they are billet and i powdercoated them, the light buckets, and brackets the same color.then you will also need longer cables they were supplied by motion pro as custom leghnth and the throttle and clutch cables cost me about 75.00. grips, end caps and ebay brakeline from a honda 919. then i also went for the 919 brake resivor and clutch perch so i could have clean mirror mounts. then mirrors. then levers. i made the gague mount from another aftermarket bike kit just fabed it a little and shaped it the way i liked. it added up but i just bought them as i found them cheap so it took a while. about the noise ,i dont notice any difference but i never had the windscreen on that bike i got it as a wrecked bike and went from there. its bad ass though the bars make it feel like a enduro bike with tons of rip. control is great around town and in slow manuverability. ive had it on the highway too with good feel and confidence. dont wanna add up the costs, dont wanna know...

Re: new pics of my blade

Looks like a motocross bike with a speedo. Thanks for all the info. I wonder how the bike would look with keeping the stock headlight and windshield and taking off the rest of the plastic. My frame is chromed so I thought it looked good when taking off the plastic for some maintenance.
