Exhaust Knowledge?

Hi All!
Can any of you Guys Help?
I have a 2001 929 which came with a "Thunder Competition" Exhaust Can.
THUNDER COMPETITION

I am going to get a Power Commander and a Speedo Healer for the Bike! But having looked at the Various MAPs for PC111 can not find one which shows this Can.
I have contacted Thunder direct and explained this and also the same to the PC111 web site.
But no information has been disclosed?
What would you Guys "Like" it too as far as a near comparison?
The Can has a Realy Realy DEEP Exhaust Note and looks the "Bits" so, do not want to change to another which has been Identified on the MAPs!
Best Regards.

Re: Exhaust Knowledge?

If there isnt a pre-made map, then you will have to get the PCIII set up with the can.

Hi All!
OK Then! further to the advise above what would the effects of using the "Stock Bike" MAP have? would this can be so far away from the original Honda Can?
Regards.

No tellin what effect the stock map would have on it. Just have to experiment, or either go and get it tuned on the dyno.

Re: Exhaust Knowledge?

Is it a slip-on or full system? With a slip-on, you don't absolutely have to even have a PowerCommander, so you could put the stock map in, or try some others. It would be a guess as to which pipe it's closest to, so just experiment.

If it's a full system, go to a dyno tuning place and get a custom map.

Re: Exhaust Knowledge?

I put a carbon slip on on my blade and downloaded a map close to what I thought was a good choice , No chance , When I had the bike dyno'd , the fuel air mixture was all over so basically the maps on the pc cd dont get close to how your bike should be. You will have to spend some dosh but make sure everything, filter , plugs etc are in good condition.
