954 Cam lobe worn
Had the 954 serviced a few weeks back (48,000km) and a few things were noted.
*) cracked radiator overflow bottle. Okay it's 6 years old and sitting next to the exhaust can't be good. So this was replaced. Coolant was lowish but haven't had any overheating or high temperatures however.
*) cracked connector on a coil on one of the spark plugs, not loose or anything just a crack. This hasn't been replaced yet.
*) mechanic noticed that cylinder #3 had worn cam lobes due to case hardening, I wasn't told it needed replacing. But the question is has anyone else had this, should I worry (a little or a lot) and do I need to save up for a cam (or other) replacement ??
p.s. Replaced the Pirellis with Michelin Powers and far better grip when cold.
