Any body have experiance with Kriega 'strap on seat luggage' in 20 and 10 litre form?

Re: Kriega Luggage 08 Blade

I brought a Kriega 20 + 10 to Hungary & back this year (6000 miles). It's quite easy to fit, totally waterproof, completely stable on the bike & even survived a low speed whoopsie on a wet French Alps road.

Totally recommend them

Thanks for the reply.

That was a fair test and they appear snow proof. Where did you pack the skis?

But is yours magnetic or strap base? The 08 CBR can't use magnetic.

Re: Kriega Luggage 08 Blade

Well I went out and purchased the Kriega tail pack 20 litre plus 10 litre. Its strapped based, water proof and constructed to be nuke proof. Very robust.

Its not inexpensive but my guess its value for money. W'ont suit everybody but those who want compact tail mounted luggage.

Does the US 20 fit the 08 Blade ok ?

I already have the US10 so can strap them together as Mikey did above.

I toyed with the Honda 19l tail bag but it's double the price of a US20 and only waterproof with the extra rain cover, whereas Kriega kit is top quality.

But the pics above by Mikey are on an older Blade with possibly a wider rear seat unit,so just wondering if fitment is still secure on the current bike.

Ta.

PS

Any pics would be great .

Re: Kriega Luggage 08 Blade

The Kriega fits ok, straps wrap round the seat and it is waterproof below 180 mph.

Good build quality and beats the hard luggage on my gs1200 for compactness

Re: Kriega Luggage 08 Blade

Just bought the Kriega tank/tail converter off ebay for my 08 Blade. No instructions on how to fit it though.Has anyone got one?The bit thats confusing me is the front. It says on the packaging it can be fitted to the head stock or radiator mounts.Just not 100% on how to fit properly.
Any help would be great.

Re: Kriega Luggage 08 Blade

I recently purchased a kriega tank converter for my us20 tail pack and I had the same trouble with my 2008 zx-10. I eventualy fitted it under the bolts that held the top of the tank onto the frame. Sadly my zx-10 is no longer with us I think its time for another Blade.

Re: Kriega Luggage 08 Blade

Sorry to revive this after so long but I have got the US20 tail pack and R35 backpack from Kriega and they work great although I don't like to have too much on my bike for a long journey as it hurts my hips.
I have been thinking about getting the tank adapter for my 06 Blade but not sure how it fits, etc. any help would be great and I would also like to know how you can see your clocks with a tank bag on?
Cheers, Paul

Yep, got a US10. Worked great - looped the straps under the pillion seat, clipped the bag on. Though the loops have to be readjusted every time I go into the seat as I do not have them fixed permenantly.
