Full Race System Blade 08 - Requirements

Guys,
Just ordered the Yoshi Full System and a PCIII.
Is it sufficient if I install those 2 components.
I am aware that a full system without a PC is a waste and even harms the bike, but do I need sthg additional like an Ignition Module?

Hope that the PC alone with the correct map uploaded is sufficient...

Please advise!

Cheers,
D

mate, i am unfortunately not wrong.
If you are going with the stock configuration of your bike you will have following results with the full race system:
1) No, or hardly recognizable power increase, you will even experience less power as the ignition timing is wrong.
2) the backpressure changes with the full system (stainless steel pipes are bigger than the stock) which actually harms the bike.
YOU definitely need a PCIII with the correct map uploaded (Yoshimura Full Race System) in order to optimize the configuration of the bike. I suggest you get one ASAP. If you only install the slip on, it doesnt matter at all, if you install the full system it is a basic requirement.
I am just not sure whether the PCIII itself with the Race System Conf is sufficient or if you as well should install an ignition module.

I am not a specialist at all unfortunately, therefore I have posted this thread.
Maybe my explanation is crap, but I definitely know that you have to have a PCIII once you go with the Full System....
I can send you a private message where u shud get the PCIII from, if required, they are discounted right now and those guys upload the correct map for you as well. Think I am not allowed to advertise any company on this public thread.. operator, can you advise?

Yours
D

Mate, just picked up my full system and my 08 PCIII.
Unpacked it and wonder about the DB Killer whcih comes with the exhaust.
Howd u fix it? Just remove the one bolt on the DB Killer itself and slip it in?
Kinda confused?!??!
Tomorrow noon I will experience the sound difference stock-yoshi w/ DB killer-yoshi w/o DB Killer )))

The ignition timing won't really be an issue but the lack of backpressure will cause an increase in airflow that is great enough that the bike will be running very lean. The FI system is able to compensate for slight changes in airflow or oxygen capacity of the air but a full system will go beyond the ability of the bike to adjust on it's own. A fuel delivery modification is necessary, PCIII's are the most common, bazzaz makes a really trick system, and Yosh makes their own fuel control that is programmed to work with their full system exhausts. Any of those three will work on FI equipped bikes.

Re: Full Race System Blade 08 - Requirements

the bazzaz unit is ideal if u are racing and constantly changing ur tune, bit of overkill for 95% of us who do our mods tune it and forget it. yoshi box works well but has a lot fewer parameters to adjust which is ideal for racing, but wont get the fine tuning and smoothness for the street. imo the pc3 with a custom tune is the best bang for your buck for the street/track day rider...

no, but you can seperately order it. No need for it, at least on my bike...

Fully agree that the PCIII is the way to go. I just thought I should point out that there are options. The PCIII seems to have a lot more available support and knowledge base among the 'average Joe.'
