is this HP booster snake oil???

eBay Motors: DYNO-BOOST PERFORMANCE CHIP HONDA CBF 1000 CBR 929 954 (item 120291687961 end time Aug-13-08 14:44:26 PDT)

looks to actually control 02 output and IAT output to me. not sure how lean it would make the bike run. anyone tried this yet?

"0-15% more power, 0-15% more torque, and 0-30% more acceleration!"

I'm not sure even a turbo will provide 30% more acceleration but the 0% sounds realistic...

Re: is this HP booster snake oil???

Snake oil indeed.

Looking at the wiring diagram on ebay the unit only intercepts the temperature sensor and links to the O2 sensor. My guess would be that it simply fools the ECU in to thinking the air is very cold so the mixture is enriched. IMO a 5c restistor from RadioShack would do the same.........

I did not get 30% increase in power or torque from a PCiii, custom mapping, end can and filter so I would not beleive this device could replace and improve on all of that!!

Turbo conversions all round i say....

Although it may work out just slightly more expensive then a 5c resistor from Dick Smith.....
