Actual Fireblade!

Can ANYONE please tell me where I can order/purchase the ACTUAL Honda CBR Fireblade plastics? The color on the picture of the actual Fireblade looks purple(ish). If the (actual) plastics can't be purchased, then what is the exact color of the "purple" plastics?

Re: Actual Fireblade!

...also, I'm looking for the (actual) engine covers for the Fireblade. In essence, I'm trying to make my CBR1000RR look exactly like the European model Fireblade. HELP!!

Re: Actual Fireblade!

Hiya - you should be able to get original stuff directly from the Dealler or if you happy with aftermarket (I wouldnt recomend as it wont be an acurate match) then you can go to Acumart in US or there are some guys (chineese) in Gaybay...

Re: Actual Fireblade!

I'm located in Phoenix, AZ. (US), and I actually bought the 2008 Honda CBR1000RR in Texas, so finding dealer parts is not a problem for me. It's finding European (?) OEM parts that I'm having trouble with. I'm looking for the plastics and the engine covers for the European (?) model 2008 Honda CBR Fireblade. If you have any info on where I can locate/order/purchase these items, I would greatly appreciate it. The picture is what I'm trying to make mine look like.

Re: Actual Fireblade!

interesting color - we usually have the European colors, but not that one.
Best is to go online and contact a Dealer in Uk.

Re: Actual Fireblade!

Yeah the Euro spec blade that you are looking for is really burgandy in color, and has no purple tinge, that pic you posted looks photochopped. As for getting the magnesium colored engine cases, there are some guys in europe that would kill for the black covers, and I am sure they would do a straight up trade.

As for purple plastic...your best bet is to find a good paint shop and bring your plastic in to them, unless you want the burgandy coloring, then you should talk to people in europe about ordering a set and then shipping to you, because its almost impossible to get the Euro plastics in the states through dealers.

Re: Actual Fireblade!

That picture does look photoshopped. If you look at the source of light on the side and front of the bike, they are coming from different angles, One could argue that that is because of the placement of lights when the pic was taken, but then each of the fairings should have more than one light source, instead of just one different angled one.

Re: Actual Fireblade!

No mate that bike is a Euro model. The paint looks a little more purple there the bike is actually a maroon colour with black tank, it looks very good.

Re: Actual Fireblade!

THAT'S THE ONE!! I guess it could either be photoshopped or just the lighting itself, but the pic you posted (MCR001) is the set-up I'm looking for! I need those engine cases and those plastics. Any idea on who/where I can get those from. I would definitely be willing to trade straight across for my OEM black engine cases. Any information would be GREATLY appreciated! Thanks, good looking out!

Re: Actual Fireblade!

I went to my dealer and asked about just the Fireblade logo. Apperantly, it is Euro spec, but American Honda can not order anything Euro spec. It's like American Honda has no affiliation with anything overseas. They told us to call a dealer in the U.K. if I wanted to go any further.

Re: Actual Fireblade!

Hey Notorious,
When I was thinking of buying my Blade I had offered up the possibility of trading engine/stator cases with Deathace, but after getting my bike I really cant part with the black so you might want to PM him to see if he still wants black cases.

I would have PM'd you but apparently you are too new to the forums or something because it wont let me

Yes I know its a Euro model but the highlights from the lightsources were photoshopped to have a purplish tint.

Re: Actual Fireblade!

The Gerd, I have no idea how to PM anyone. You're right, I am new to this site. If you would, would you please let him know I'm interested in trading? In fact, have him email me. [email protected] Thanks!

Re: Actual Fireblade!

Notorious, i've seen that colouring on the 08 blade in the flesh here in Ireland. Burgundy is the best way of describing it and being truthful , there is no hint of purple whatsoever nor is there much interest in that particular colouring. Maybe a custom paint job is what you're after?? get the proper colour coding for whatever colour it is you want and find someone to do it.
