Re: spit test/down 1 cylinder

No, it's not critical but the specs are 12Nm or 9ft/lb.
Check the coil is on tight.
If it's still not firing try swapping the coil with another one to determine if it's the coil that's the problem.

Re: spit test/down 1 cylinder

What is a spit test? I'm picturing someone spitting on thier tire to see if they have a leak. Excuse me if thats a newber questions, but I've never heard that term before.

Spitting on the headers.
If it doesn't steam off immediately the cylinder isn't firing.

Re: spit test/down 1 cylinder

Wow spits almost like duct tape. It's got 1001 uses. From cleaning your visor, checking for leaks and now non-firing plugs. What will they come up with next. Thanks BR for the insight, easier then removing the plugs to do a spark test. Man I always have to do things the hardway.
