929 speedometer help

well I go start my bike about 40 outside I take off notice my mph/kmh were not working everything else was ..temp,clock, etc... Well it takes it about 20 mins to come to actually working anyone know what could be happening or have this problem your advices is appreciated.

check all the connections form teh gearbox pick up sensor right through to teh clocks. get some electric contact cleaner spray and spilt all the connectors on route and give them a clean. If there is still no joy it could be a circuit fault in the clocks. iirc some did have problems and were changed under warranty but I don't know what the issue was.

ure speed sensor might be ready to go out,ifn it starts jumming around and then quits then youllo need a new speed sensor more then likly i just orded one for my 750 vfr from ron aiyers hes about the cheppest if u do end up having to replace it
