954 steering stem replcement?

my bike was cross threaded on the steering stem by previous owner.can i just replace the steering stem and nut or is it the whole lower triple tree????????????

You can't buy the stem so you'd be looking at getting another clamp anyway to pull the stem out of it.

No. You can press the stem out but you can't buy a replacement stem without getting the lower clamp with it so it's kind of pointless.
Unless you happen to find a clamp that's taken a hard enough impact to damage the clamp without damaging the stem :-)
