I don't see why not. If the connections are all the same it should work. Maybe the maps might have to be changed a little. But the bikes are identical except for the ABS. (as fars as I know)

I think it'll save you money in the long run also since it has the ignition module built in(maybe...info is scarce)

Re: power commander V 2009

I would of thought so - the only issue would be if the new ABS is in some way connected to the ECU

Re: power commander V 2009

The PC V has a "built in" Ignition Module for only Harleys. Metric bikes will still have the Ignition Module sold as an accessory at a later date. However, the Multifunction Hub is now "built in" to the PC V. This will allow you to input speed and gear position. With these inputs you can then have a new fuel table for every gear as well as every cylinder. So potentially on a 4 cylinder bike with 6 speeds you can have 24 different fuel tables in one map. Also included will be a toggle switch which can be bolted to the hanblebars and allow you to toggle 2 seperate maps on the fly. There will be many other features as well. Check our website for more info.
Power Commander V for Harley Davidson Motorcycles, Fuel Tuning Device
The only ones that are shipping as of right now are the Harleys which is why the link shows only HD, but the popular metric street bikes will be the next to go early January.

The PC V will be built and tested on 09 bikes only. We do not endorse the install of this module on any later model bikes.

Re: power commander V 2009

The PC will plug in and make fuel changes, but it will need to be custom tuned. None of the predeveloped maps that we have will be good for a japanese model.
